What is the easiest way to mount a new vehicle speed sensor and speedometer cable?

the old one is still on... im converting from speed density to maf.

do you have to take the dash apart to get to it or is there an easier way to reach it?

It's usually on the tranny between the cable and the speedo housing. I could be mistaken though.

The VSS is mounted on the tranny where the cable goes in. You will have to pull the dash to get the cable out to replace it, but the VSS will go in with little hassle, it is just getting the new cable in that is a pain

Let me clarify, you have to remove paer of the dash. mainly just the gauge bezle and gauges to remove the cable. Where did you get your cable and how much?

You only have to remove the instrument cluster, not the entire dash.
