RE: Brake Vacuum Booster Help!! NOT one of those stupid posts either,,
I had thestock boosterwith the big brake upgrade as well. I had the same braking problems. I switched over to the 93 cobra booster and the brakes work great now. Also if you can get a vacuum plate(goes between the TB and the manifold) it has T-off ports for vacuum basically right at the source, that will solve any vacuum issues.I used to manufacture them just not for the stang. If enoughpeople areinterested in these I can probably get a run of them going I have to run a min. of 50 pieces.

as for the check valves i bought a replacement from oreillys for the BB and put it in, ran my vacuum straight from the intake to the BB and then cracked the check valve a lil and i made a nice whoooosh sound so that lets me know that my BB should be okay,
the canister did help just a lil be though, not like it needs to be,
when the engine is off i can only push the brake pedal in about 1 inch or so and then i can start the car and it barely moves toward the floor, kinda like i have manual brakes,,, when the engine is off and i push it the 1 inch and then try to pump them i get about 2 pumps before i cant push anymore,, did i over extend my plunger?? or is this normal for the big bore?
i guess that i should try and get me a 93 cobra of SN95 BB and go ahead and swap it out, b/c if it does make it work then it is over $200 saved but if it doesnt then oh well i got a new BB instead of my 17yr old one, and then if that doesnt work i guess i gotta buy the ele pump,

I was also told to go with the bigger booster with my disc/5-lug swap,I have not got it finished yet, but I will let you know whenI do. I have a Cam as well, so it wasn't cutting it with the old booster. I have put a 93 cobra booster inplace of my stock one, its a pian though,I had to bend the corner of the booster to get it to fit over my strut housing.

yes i have been told to change it all out, but i did not go with 4 disc just bigger up front, most people dont have to change out the BB on just the bigger fronts, i guess going to buy me a 93 cobra or a SN95,, all i have heard is that the cobra is a major biotch but if you make the hole on one of the 4 bolts coming outta the firewall it is a lot easier to get in and no smashing of the BB or the strut tower so i can slide in sideways
