Ok heres teh scoop

My brother has a highly modded 89 GT, but all that matters is that he has a zoom clutch

I havbe a 92 GT with a spec stage one clutch

HIS clutch engages about halfway, mine, even more so

whose is in the right spot (his engages about 6 inches off the floor, mine, like 3)

mine engages about 1/3 of the way up

for racing his is better, you dont want to have to throw the clutch almost all the way to the floor to shift cause you run more risk of missing gears on quick shifts and lose more time shifting. im getting new ram hd clutch set and ram billet steel fly wheel tommorow for agressive street strip applications and im curious to see whats gonna happen with the new setup. the king cobra just isnt holding up for me.

so long as u can disenguage the clutch all the way, and enguague it fully... there both fine

iceman u said that it isn't holding up what do u mean? does that mean u dont like cause i already have mine under the bed for my new motor.

i have heard a lot of bad things about the king cobra clutch thats why i spend the 440 on my whole centerforce II clutch kit

what i mean by it not holding up is that this is the second clutch this year that ive spun the fly wheel with,both were king cobras. i went with the ram hd stuff this time and hopefully this will do the trick. $695 for the fly wheel and clutch set. but cheap parts aint good and good parts aint cheap

hack how do u like the centerforce clutch somebody else i know with a 5.0 has a centerforce and he said he likes it a lot not as stiff as i heard the king cobra is i have heard from some

with the 5 miles i have put on it i love it lol. put the new trans and clutch in around january and got to drive it home and that was it lol it been sitting in the driveway till this week i finally got the title so she is getting put back on the road
