im horrible at electric stuff but if the IAC is the thing on the TB opposite of the EGR, then yes. my mechanic explained it to me and the IAC was letting in air via two small whistle making holes in the inside of the IAC.

tell me i have helped someone out with the same problem as me. i could NOT figure it out so i have spent 150 bucks to fix it and would like others to benifit from it!! good luck

the photobucket is not working for me, i dont know why. but yes it is a tube or cylender looking thing. from what i understang there is a mechinisim that opens the two little holes in there to leak air in, thus causing the whistle.

yes, that would be it. it looks diff. on mine because i have a BBK TB but same shiz diff. smell. if your all out of ideas volt meter your TPS and see if its good. if not, a replacement will save you alot of whistle and performance. the noise may not be the tps or the iac, just a good place to check. my car would NOT whistle at idle but would make a ear-pearcing whistle at 1200, and beyond that you could just hear a whistle. my check engine light was also on.

is your upper to lower manifold gasket sealing right? ie have you taken it off lately??
