thats true 1 question how long should the break in on my rebuilt tranny be how many miles? and after that is it ok to put the gm syncromesh in

i say, 1000 miles with regular cheap stuff with normal driving and semi slow shifts, then change the fluid so whatever u want to run in it and beat the hell out of it

refer to my video of how to break in a tranny i made for dimebag a while ago if u want to know what i mean by normal driving

Stop rebuilding the T-5 and drop in a TKO. Go to www.thedrivenman.com . They can sell you a Super T-5 that will handle lots of power, or better yet a bolt-in TKO set-up that will eat the T-5 for breakfast. I have been involved in thousands of modern stick swaps and trust me, you will keep rebuilding that stock T-5 until your fingertips bleed. I had a customer who went through SEVEN junkyard T-5s before he finally ponied up for a TKO. Two seasons later he is happier than a pig in mud.
