Dyno Questions.

RE: Dyno Questions.
A tune is simply ensuring the A/F is correct and timing is optimized to make best power. With most dynotune sessions N/A cars in relatively good shape will see very little gain...usually in the neighbourhood of 10-15hp...absolutely nothing your going to 'feel' with those numbers, but remembe there is also a good possiblity you could leave with no gain or even possibly slightly less (crazy but it has happended when correcting lean situations). Burning a chip for you car sounds cool...it's fun but really for an N/A car it's mainly to correct drivability problems and for when final major components like heads and cam have been installed and are not going to change. Remembe unless you run a multi program chip like myself...once the program is finished you are stuck with your current major modifications..any head, cam, intake, maf...etc changes will void your dynotune programs benefit.

Another question... My friend before he did anything, besides CAI and his gears dynoed his and he did some far apart numbers like 215 rwhp and 299 tq. Is it common to see something that far apart, aside from diesels?

RE: Dyno Questions.
I test drove a 03 GT a while back and I drove mine there. Going from one to the other you could tell a huge difference. It was like the 4.6 had just as much or more horse, but the torque was nothing in comparison.
