Darn Wires
I have a 1991 Mustang GT and I have a problem.... No make that several problems. First is the battery has been dying, second is the power door locks have never worked scence I bought it and theres no fuse for them, Third the interior lights, power mirriors, and radio fuse have been poping and now the Ebrake light has been on and staying on even when the car is off and the key is out. im hoping for suggestions cause i've tried everything like regrounding some of the wires and a new power cable for the battery and even replaced the silonde on the fenderwall. I love Mustangs but I traded in my troubled 95 GT cause I was sick of fixing it every other day, for a brand new 03 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 and I dont want to get rid of this 91 GT if its something easy to fix. Please Help save a good 91 GT
the e brake light staying on with the key out is what is draining down the battery. sounds like the switch on the cable is stuck on, find it and beat on it gently to see if this doens't help some. you might have a nicked wire somewhere in the circuit that keeps blowing a fuse, so you have to trace out the wiring from the switches back and see if there is a worn spot on a wire which is shorting to ground on you blowing the fuse.
i tried testing the fuses and relays still no success the Ebrake light turns off when the car is on and running but just alittle while ago the Ebrake light goes on only when i start the car and stays on while the car is running..... by the way kevin rarley helps with my car but im always working on his cavalier or LX mustang hahaha
