Need help finding the right Supercharger
Whats up guys, I am looking to boost my car to meet my hp/trq. goals. I want to make high 300's with both or low 400's. Ive heard that the vortech s trims are fantastic, but what exact model will be reliable and give me the best results? If there are any other superchargers out there that are better, please let me know about them. I heard the Paxton NOVI 2000 is great too, however i cannot find them nor do i hear about them as much as i hear about the vortechs. My current mods are in my signature, and i now have glasspacks instead of the horrible flowmasters that i used to run. Along with a supercharging kit, what else will i need to buy? Examples like what fuel injectors and any other little things.
If any of you boosting guys have any tips for me, let me know, i am going to attempt to do the job myself... so if you have any info, send it my way!
thanks, 93-5.0

yeah stick with the novi 1000. unless you plan on more psi later. novi 2k is good for like 27 psi if needed and supports 900+ hp. 10 psi is perfect for the novi 1k, it peaks at 15 (safely)

I need to order pushrods, head bolts and head gaskets this week. As soon as I get them I'll be putting together my little blower combo. It will have some kind of junk exhaust that came on it with shorty headers. I am addingan intake and doing a mildcam swap (I want to be able to hear something). I'm putting a Novi 2000 on it. It will make at least 400rwhp. Depending on what pulley I decide to put on it, it may make 475+rwhp. This is easy stuff.

you could make a lot more HP then that if you wanted (with a 2k, and engine holding together). sounds like your building a decent motor, so i could see tho's #'s with 10-12 psi

Have you looked at the self contained kits that KB makes. They also offer all the supporting components. Just personal preference, but I like the sound of that twin screw!
