Bout to start swapping everything
well i finally found a chassis that is decent. In case you dont know i bought a 86 a few months ago and come to find out the entire car was rotted everywhere i didn't look before i bought it. So i found another 86 ( wanted to keep the 4-eye look) that has no engine, trans or interior. Got it for 250 buckswith title. Chassis has some surface rust in a few small spots but no rot. So now i have the fun job of switching my engine, trans, exhaust, and rear end into this car. Any words of widom? This is going to be fun lol.

Buy a lot of pb blaster, better yet buy stock in the company! Buy small bags and label fastener locations, be semi **** about it, don't ask me how I know this.....good luck

well i got the engine and trans out. Wow that sucked.( im doing this w/o anyone to help me) Screwed up my flexplate so ill need a new one. Also realized i need new motor mounts. They were junk. Other than that it went pretty smooth. Just alot of little things that made it difficult. All in all it took me a day to pull both. I was going to pull both together but when i tried, they would not seperate. It should be easier going in. Any more ideas on what i should do while i got it out? What do you mean by upgrading the cooling sys??? Just the radiator? I was thinking about filling all of the engine bay holes but that seems like it would be quite a job.

any idea on where to get decent motor mounts? Im on a budget so that will come into play. Should i get solid mounts? I seen them on summit and was wondering if there was any difference.

I wouldn't run solid mounts on a street car due to massive vibration issues. You'll rattle every bolt and screw in the entire car loose.
