every t5 will grind in reverse its not syncronized. throw it in 1, 3 or 5 firstthen put it in reverse and it will never grind

every t5 will grind in reverse its not syncronized. throw it in 1, 3 or 5 firstthen put it in reverse and it will never grind

yup no problem. i learned why it did what it did fromt he forum but always knew to put it in 1st 3rd or 5th first and then put it into reverse

Correct. Reverse is not syncronized. You have to put it in a forward gear, then into reverse. You can get into reverse by slightly engaging reverse and then letting out on the clutch till it falls in, but it is just easier to put it in a forward gear first.

haha reverse was fine and i only did that for like 2 months till i realized i had to put it in a forward gear first. and the trans lasted another 2 years after lol

and yes reverse is not syncroed use a forward gear (i prefer 1st) then put it in reverse and i'll fix every thing... if you read your owners manual it even says that in there
