naw they slide in but theres a latch the holds them on

No bolts as mentioned. They should slide right in and click into place. Removing them is a major pain in the ****, and involves getting your arm up the seat back from the bottom zipper and releasing the heavily sprung detent with some sort of tool as 88ragtop said. I just removed the low-pad headrests and put in halos on my '85 GT Vert
