Default intake manifold change

I'm about to change my intake gasket and I was cuious if just about every nut I run into is gonna be metric? I am also curious of the easiest way to let out fuel system pressure and If I really need any special tools for the pressure release valve.

When I changed my fuel filter I read the repair manual. It said to get under the back of the car, on the back of the gas tank is a wire connector to the in-tank fuel pump, unhook it, then crank up the car so it runs all the gas and pressure out of the lines til it cuts off. Then you are good to go. At least that's what it said. I didn't have any problems when I changed my fuel filter after doing that.

Whether or not it's metric depends on the year, and yes, you will find it WAAAAAAAY easier to get an EFI line release kit at the local auto store. Some of the foctory locks in the lines are beasts to remove without the right tool, and even sometimes with. At the very least it's better than stabbing yourself with screwdrivers etc trying to get it loose. And release fuel pressure however the manual says for your car.

thanks a lot for your inputs.
Regarding the year, it's a 1995 5.0l. I've done simple stuff under the hood and when I did drivetrain work I know all tthe bolts were metric and I didn't have any.( still got it done without...b/c it wasn't my car...get my drift)

For the fuel pressure summit has a tool for a couple bucks that makes it really easy. I bet auto zone or advanced has em too. For the pressure I justdepressed the the bicyle like valve. A little gas leaked out but it was pretty minimal
