Default Surging idle

I got what I think is a fairly stock 5.0 and my idle is really rough. It will go up and down 500 rpms. I believe this is a sensor issue especially since there is aftermarket cam. So, what sensors should I check, that would affect my idle so much?

I had the same problem on my 92. I got it Dyno tuned and it is running fine now. The techs there told me that if you get a different cam than stock you should definetly get a tune. I am a noob at this stuff so someone can tell me if I am wrong.

you shouldn't NEED a tune, but it helps. Unplugging the battery for 10 minutes will reset the computer, and the computer should be able to re-learn everything it needs to keep the car running decent, especially idle, unless you have a wicked cam.

I forgot a word in my original post, there is NO aftermarket cam. I actually did clean the idle control sensor yesterday but that was it. Didn't change a thing.
