Default MANUAL BRAKES?

wondering if anyone got rid of there pwr brakes and how the stopping situation is w/ a manual setup. and i mean a real manual setup with the right master cylinder and brake pedal, not just with the booster line disconnected haha. im looking to get as much weight and gizmo stuff as possible out of my car and it manual brakes arent bad then that will be my next project. thanx
