5.0 Power????
heys guys I dont ever come to this side of the site I usually frequent the 4.6 forums (b/c I own one) But I am selling my car and looking into a 94/95 cobra. In anyones opinion or knowledge how extreme would I have to go with mods to outrun a 99+ bolt on GT. I know this question is a little vague but your input is greatly appreciated!!!!
depending on the level of bolt on's the GT has, it becomes a drivers race. Ive taken on geared foxes with my stock rear end and come out on top. Ive slapped around LT1 camaro's, and messed with newer GT's... ofcourse, everything will be different when the motor goes back in!

If that thing is messing with new GTs without the motor, just think about what he's gonna do when the motor is actually in!
new edge GT's come with about 250 BHP correct? maybe slightly more... My car, without a tune, stock motor.. put down 253hp at the wheels. After some tuning I got it up to 276hp. Remember, this was on the stock cobra heads, stock cobra cam, and stock cobra intake.

But what else did you have, CAI, pullies, exhaust, etc?
From what I've heard/read, the 94-95 Cobra5.0swere very under rated by Ford, so it will probably be a very close race.

why is everone skeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrd nosz..it has alot of great advanges
1. use it ONLY when need really how often will you need it
2. you get no loss in gas mileage while not using it
3. with other mods you put more stress and wear and tear every time you mash the throttle
4. it's cheap
