Default Which sandpaper grit should I use

After laying some body filler down, which grit sandpaper should I use to start bringing it down level with the body

220 just to be safe use a block sander an dont put pressure on the block or you will get a uneven level

hell no, use 80 then 120 on a orbital sander then 220 on a block, otherwise u will be there sanding all day

yeah knock that mud down first while it is still wet with a body file then paper and then a skim coat.

not when its wet, semy dry and moist. Cheese grate it. goto the home depot and buy a cheese grater in the tool section. File iot down then start sanding with 180 trhen 220.

if it's dry use a 36'40 or 80 grit to get close use a long blck or file then go from there with 220 then prime then 320 then paint

i never mess with it till its all the way dry, sometimes theres spots that might be wetter than the rest and u will take too much off. or creat a pocket by moving it around. grater works fine when its all dry too. if u sand it when its not fully cured it will just gum up your paper

I use an air file to knock it down, but hand block it with 80 on last coat
