Default Powermaster 140amp alt

whos running one?..and how do u like it..i fryed mine and dont have the time to do 3g conversion soo im thinkin bout one of these..

I have one, works good. It drops right in place of the stock one with no grinding, you just have to run the 1 wire to the starter solinoid.

I thought that those powermaster alternators only kicked on during a certain RPM.

single wire doesnt mean modification right?..i dont wanna start with that kinda ****..just a bolt in..haha

Single wire literally only has 1 wire to hook up. Where it's bolted is the ground, and you run a single wire from the alt to the positive battery terminal, and the alternator has an internal voltage regulator. When you start the car and the alternator rpm gets high enough, it signals the alternator to switch on and start charging the electrical system. When you shut the engine off and the alternator comes to a stop, the switch shuts off
