Default When I turn on the Air conditioner temp raises slowly?

When I turn on the Air conditioner engine temp raises slowly to Hot? What could cause this?

More then likely you have a coolant leak somewhere. The added load on the motor just causes it to overheat.

somebody else had the same problem about a week ago and I think it was a head gasket but don't quote me on that!!!!

Generally it's normal for it to run a lil warmer. the condensor gets very hot and the fan is pulling that much more hot air across the radiator.

Well it almost gets to the red line, and as soon as I cut the air off, it moves make to normal very slowly.

It is normal to get alittle hotter when you turn the A/C, but going up to redline isn't. Check for coolant leak though, like Zach said!

Well, i checked and i noticed some leakes around the coolant refil cap.. does this mean i need a new cap or sumthing?

That would be a good place to start, maybe to be sure you could put a coolant pressure tester on it and check for leaks.

I would look at the integrity of your fan clutch.
