I think I will also make ebay my friend on this purchase. I can get 4 actuators for the price of 1 on certain sites..... I am going to try the non rivit method first for sure.

I replaced mine without drilling and took about an hour or so (only needed the drivers side). They do come out of those brackets but it takes time and possibly a band aid or two. Those brackets are pretty tough.

Should be 2 rubber bushings on the actuator, coat them so they slide in/out easier.Work on getting one seated and push the other side down after it but make sure the actuators arm isinits holefirst. Leaving the connector unplugged will prevent any accidental nicking of the harness.

What sites have the door lock actuators for cheap? My passenger side one doesn't work but the driver side one is in great shape..

I had to cut off the rivet with a dremel. Nobody sells a rivet gun around here that can handle that big *** rivet that 50resto gives you. So I just used a non locking nut and bolt.

you don't have to take off that bracket. i did last time i replaced mine (i have no idea why these things dont last very long). had to buy a rivet gun though too.

yeah not that hard just drill em out with a lil smaller drill bit then re rivit them back in,, can get new acutators off ebay for cheap
