Default Hatch trim strip

I have some rust beginning where the bottom of the window glass meets the metal on my hatch and I want to get busy on it but I can't seem to be able to get the bottom trim strip off. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Default RE: Hatch trim strip

you need a special tool, go to equalizer.com part# MR747
It is 7.45 plus shipping. i do auto glass for a living and those moldings are tuff to get off without bending, the windshield moldings are alot easier to get off. The backglass clips are wider and you have to gently pry up with your fingers and use the tool to get behind the clip and release it, you will probably have to release both sides of the clip
