Summer Project Almost Complete
As soon as I got her out of storage, I began to perform my summer repairs.
Smoked headlight assemblies
Slotted and cross-drilled rotors w/ ceramic pads
Maximum Motorsports Strut Brace
Heater core
Electric Speedometer
Alarm
Re-wire (in organized anddocumented fasion)all my autometer gaugesusing a 16 pin connector pigtail robbed from a scrap harnesseliminating all the BS hach job scotch locks from the prevous owner...
CD player
Killswitch involving the seatbelt switch......
Once the alarm and a replacement switch are installed, she is ready for reassembly. I left the interior gutted for the duration of the alarm install for obvious reasons.I will post pics off all the work once it is completed. I highly recommend all the stuff I have done so far. Especially the alarm. I am taking great care in wire routing, splicing and labeling. The majority of the work I am doing is to correct all the problems with the original wiring job. $1400 by the time it is done and then I still need to buy new drag radials for the back because last season was a little too much fun
.
Hopefully the VSS signal I robbed from the speed control amplifier will be good enough for my speedo, I will find out soon enough I guess.
Pretty much a worthless post to those who don't know or care - but for those planning on similar projects, I hope you can keep busy and focused. I have never wanted to drive my car more than I do right now and it hurts spending so much money on such a beautiful car that is currently in pieces. [:@]
