Old motor help!!!!!!!
Tomorrow I am going to try and go through with the swap, I have no choice, the car needs to run. The rings in my motor along with the heads are shot. I dont have much money. I am putting a 1971 rebuiltmotor into my 1992 mustang. I need yalls help on what to swap off my 1992 motor onto the 1971 motor to make it work. Heres what I am swaping from my 92..........I have another flexplate for the different imbalance, swap the oil pan, swap the timing cover an compontants, swap the cam, swap the push rods and rockers and lifters, swap lower intake and upper, swap distributar. Is there anything else to swap or will this even work??????????

RE: Old motor help!!!!!!!
your not going to be able to slap that roller cam in the early block, and im guessing your current motor is a HO with the 1-3 firing order.
you need a 351w firing order cam for the early motor to make it work, other than that i see no problems whatsoever.

that cam will work with your stock springs on the older heads, and will give you the firing order you'll need to make everything happen. 72.88 for cam and lifters is a pretty good price
