I got a 351w in a 85 Stang and I keep breakin starters (the eye holes). I dont know what is causing the problem. When I put it in it sits flush with the tranny and then i tighten the bolts evenly. This is my 4 or 5 starter and its really buggin me. Any ideas or suggestion would be appreciated

Dont over torque the bolts. Using the righ starter?

 

The starter that im using is from a 85 302. Is this right? are they the same? If not what kind of starter am I lookin for?
