installing tranny have lube questions
ok finally got my engine in and hte bellhouse but on and i took an old input driveshaft for the tranny i had and line everyhting all up so tis ready for the tranny to slide in.... hte tranny isnt new i just had to take it out to get the engine is as some of you may remember.... im wondering apart from tranny oil do i need to lube up nething.... i have some grease and my dad was also taking about this ____ that may be needs to go on there he said but he doesnt kno either.... so do i need to lube nething or not??? also i was told that pouring tranny fluid in from the shifter area is the ezest what to get it in there... does it go in ne certain way if i do this or so i just pour it in... and also i know its goin to take in between 2-3 qts... and i have 3 ready... im using the RP stuff didnt cheap out.... but how do u know when is full... im guessing theres gotta be something that tells you when its full... and also ne other basic tranny installation know how would be great appericated as well... thanks

I always put a lite coat of grease on the input sleave, I always used a siphon pump and put the fluid in the side of the trans so I didnt have to remove the shifter and reseal, you'll know its full when it comes out of the fill whole

It takes three quarts and you can pour it in from the top just check the fill hole to make sure it is right.
