Default Oil filter seepage why?

This is my problem i changed my oil the other day and did everything right put a pl30001 pure one filter on coated the gasket with oil and hand tightened it until the gasket contacts the base then another 3/4-1 turn start it up everything is fine no leaks but after driving around i checked it again and i feel on the filter and it feels a little wet i look at it and you can barely see it but it looks like oil seeps out the bottom part of the base for some reason should i just tighten the filter as tight as it will go? I've never had this problem on my other vehicle.

no i always check that after what happened to my friends dad it dumped oil everywhere because of double gaskets. I think ill just try to tighten it a little tighter. It's not like its dripping oil or anything but i like to have my vehicles perfect and you can feel a little residue on the bottom of the filter.

yeah, my first thought was the old gasket was stuck to the flange, happened to me oce with my P Up truck , drove it around the block & she dumped 3 qts..
I bet you just need to tighten it a little more..
quick edit..maybe you forgot to oil the gasket before screwing the filter on ??

did you put oil in the filter before you installed it?
