Rolling the Fender Lip

Rolling the Fender Lip
Was at an Autobody shop the other day and while I was there I asked em a question or two.
I asked how much it would cost to roll the fender lips n such, then he started saying how that was a bad idea.
Because water and stuff can get up top there and seep down and just start rusting everything pretty bad.
Anyone exerpienced this on their daily driver with rolled fender lips?

he's got a point there OB, especially up north where they use lots of salt on the roads in the winter. depends on how they roll them, but you cold always come back and seal the lip with some good silicone sealer to keep the water out or even use some spray on undercoating to seal off the area around the fender lips. still trying to get bigger tires on that Stang huh?

That'd be the ticket
And I don't drive it in the winter so salt n crap isnt an issue.
But I was just worried for driving it in the rain or thru puddles and such.
Water just seeping in there and rusting out my poor fenders
I was thinking about that rubber undercoating stuff(silicone or whatnot)
But I'm sure it will eventually wear at some point.
Or would it last a good few years

Why not?
Help fit a wider tire under there without slicing that sidewall...
And With my current slicks, the sidewall is very soft so I dont want to be slicing into that either with the current fender how it is.
