when i accelerating hard some white smoke comes up from the shifter area. my leather boot is ripped but it appears to be coming from that area. any ideas. smells kind wierd. possibly smoking cats? exhaust is 100% stock. anyone else with same problems?

Do you have an aftermarket shifter? If you do, you probably removed the original seal that was there.

i bet you have a oil leak from your motor or trans and its running down and burning up on your hot exhaust and smoke is coming up through the shifter....

It could be an oil leak that is dripping onto your exhaust

could be you have an exhaust leak or oil leak or trans leak dripping on your exhaust buring and smoke rises so there you go
