Default EGR valve

I took my egr valve off and I'm going to let it sit overnight filled with carb cleaner --that's not going to ruin anything is it? Also when I put it back on do I need to put gasket sealenton it or not? I'm getting hesitation when I have it in higher rpm's such as between 2000 rpms and 3000 rpms Since everything else is fairly new that's my next option according to my search results. If anyone else has a different idea on what could be making my car hesitate at those rpm's please chime in! Thanxs

If you wanted to rule it out as the possible cause, all you had to do was disconnect and plug the vacuum line so it didn't open. Leaving the valve in carb cleaner will cause the diaphragm to be damaged......sorry.

Where are you guys buying your parts? The cheapest for a EGR valve around here is $78!! Thats why I wanted to clean it out with carb cleaner.

I went out and bought a egr valve for $80 and I have it all hooked up but I have a question. Am I supposed to have constant vacuum to the egr valve or not? I took the vacuum hose off the egr valve while it was running and put my finger over it and there wasn't any vacuum at all! Is that right or not Thanxs for any help you can give me!

Correct, there is no vacuum until it's called for. Otherwise it would be open at idle and run like shyt!!
