Default jacking point

Does anyone have any suggestion on a good jacking point? I don't want to mess up my underbody when I jack it up the last time I bent the ridge under the door because it was so soft.

As mentioned theres a strip of steel just below the rocker panels. Each side has a 1" cutout for the scissor jack to fit in, thats why its there. If youre using a regular floor jack some use the rear torque boxes or under the front control arms, even the subframes. I prefer to use the k-member or the center section of the axle. if im just doing one side ill use the notches in the rockers with a scissor jack. Just dont ever use a jack on the floorpan itself.

depends which jack you use, if its the tiny stock jack, the ridge is suppose to line up and not bend

if its a floor jack theres the k member in the front the the torque boxes in the back

If you lift the car on the pinch weld right behind the front tire or right infront of the rear tire it shouldnt bend, it might in the middle though. Usually I either lift the whole front or the whole rear at a time though.
