Default Best way to remove rivets?

I've never really dealt with these things before, but i've gotta remove some to put in new power window motors. what is the best way to remove them without hurting anything else around them? i'd say that when i get 'em out ill just replace them with bolts so not really worried about how they'll turn out.

Drill them out with a carbon steel drill bit that is half the size of the head or grind the head off of them and they will fall out. Grinding may cause damage so a drill is the best option.

They are usually aluminum body with a steel shaft. Take a round chisel and punch the steel shaft through the rivet then use any type of bit as long as its sharp and it will come out easy. If the rivet is steel do the same but use a better drill. I've seen a bunch of people try to drill through with the shaft still in the rivet and you'll have a mess and a broken bit..

yeah i used a drill when i did these before. sometimes the rivet will spin. also u can use a chisel since the rivets are really soft .rivet guns and rivets are cheap to if u dont wanna use bolts, i always use bolts cus its cheaper and whos gunna see em

in my 95 gt my power window motors have a rivet in there helping to hold them inside the door. im not a big fan of it either but hey, its too late. i'd rather have bolts or screws but i've gotta get 'em out before i do anything.

thanks for the help everyone! ill just drill 'em out and replace.
