do u have duals all the way back, mb thats a place to start or set it up like the turbo birds and put some turbo in it if u have a y pipe...otherwise like they said, it should b universal with intakes and upgrades on mustangs, but it might be some guess work if things are always going to fit, sometimes things are wierd like that

well I was going to pick up a throttle body off an explorer, as well as change out the restrictiveintake. the car has true duals on it just like the mustang sounds the exact same except for my small exhaust leak.

the turbo birds have a 2.3l inline four like my ranger they used a split single exhaust and the car obviously didn't need a y pipe I think your thinking of super coupes that used the 3.8l v6 and had a super charger. I could probably set it up like a grand national and run twin turboes like I've thought about but I really don't know the first thing about setting up the odds and ends like fuel management on the car for that setup and deciding correct compression ratio to turbo size and boost levels.

One thing to do would be to change the crank pulley to one out of a mustang (and the correct belt) because the one that comes on the Lincoln 5.0 HO is considerably larger...
Also the lincs seem to have a 2" or smaller exhaust pipes... maybe changing those out will gain a few ponies.
And yes... Lincoln Mark VII's do have the same H.O. motor as in the Mustangs...

It is a fox car so I believe mustang headers, and most other performance parts, bolt on like it is a mustang. I had an 87 and it was a nice car. The air suspension is a pain but you can get rebuilt bags and what not. You can ditch the air suspension in the front with a tbird K member and control arms. The rear is a little more envolved but not much. You will have to build/but some upper spring perches in the rear and then use mustang/tbird lowers. There is a place that is into lsc's and I think he had built some spring perches, http://www.svpu.com Here is what one can look like http://www.cardomain.com/ride/759913.
