OK guys, its me again. You already know Im getting long-tube headers and exhaust this month, and am working on this fan ram-air deal. I was doing a little more research, and found out that some people say they needed to get an aftermarket chip to realize the full potential of CAI and headers/exhaust. Do you know anything about this? Remeber, I am a newbie here, the last car I had was a Thunderbird SC, not the Mustang.

The modifications done to Ford's V8's (and GM's) let it too much air too quickly for the stock computer to know what to do with, and it squirts in too much fuel just to be safe.
The chips slide into the stock computer and lean it out to a safe point. I would personally save a chip for when you're done modifying so you get the best combo possible.

yea wait on the chip, the stock calculations should still be good enough for you. Wait till you get into changing the Volumetric Efficiency or other serious modifications till you chip it. unless you just want to raise your rev limiter and top speed limiter.
