well i also have a bbk x pipe and i have bbk headers i'm satisfied

definitely go with equal lenght and get the ceramic coated ones as they will not discolor like chrome and last lots longer too. shop around for the best price and make sure they are emissions legal if your state is real picky about it. I've got MAC 1-5/8" equal length shorties on mine and they came with the tag welded on them saying they passed the CARB requirement for CA.

As you can see in my sig, I have BBK ceramics, they are 50 state legal.
