grab some old autolight coppers and set them up like a nitrous oxide plug, it usally worth 1-2hp up top but can gain almost 20lb/ft and 5hp in the low-mid rpm levels. the low swirl heads on these 5.0's seem to really benefit from it.

stock n/a car, works best on aod cars as the torque helps the most. it was in mm&ff ingniton tune up guide.
if you are running gt40p's or simular high swirl head you wont see much of a gain. stock heads it works good.

Checked my yellow accel wires after reading this thread - the LOWEST I got was 6.8 Kohms - most over 10!(and I really dislike the yo-boy yellow). They are only several WEEKS old. I'll be sure to stay away from their coil.
Anyone have comparative performance output numbres for msd, crane, taylor coils? Who makes a good set of black wires?

thats the difference between a street wire (carbon core) and a race wire (copper core). the increased resistance keeps the computer happy and reduces the rfi.
fyi copper core wires have been illegal on american roads sence the 70's, way back when they used to jam police radar guns.

I don't use the MSD coil eitherI use either an ACCEL or a MALLORY. those FMS wires are one of the worst for resist 250-400ohms vs my holley 25 ohms

i had an msd coil on my car and it run better with the stock. ive had many people tell me not to waste my money on the msd that the crane coil is better. im also using a step colder ngk iridium plugs with ford racing wires and have had no trouble. gap is at 45 and i get 22-23 mpg around town

a small file is all you need to radious the top.
its alows more spark exposure. you could index you plugs but thats a pain in the *** to do. it also helps cut down on detonation and short arching. granted at the expence of plug life, good thing plugs are cheap so theres no reason not to change them every year on a street motor.
