Default alternator or battery cable?

Need help my car starts fine from cold start, but after 10-20 min ride i turn it off but it will not immediatley crank.I either need too wait about 20 mins or so too cool or use a jump box after about 5 mins.and it will crank.Seems the battery is not getting recharged.the battery is in the trunk and the starter an battery are both new.Could the battery cable be looseing its ability to carry amps due too being heat soaked.the car also has an a1000 fuel pump, vortech 347 all the mods.do i need bigger cables or bigger alternator?this started after battery was relocated to the trunk..

my bets on the battery. My friend did the relocation like you and when he turns his car off if his radio is on for like 10 seconds it drains it entirely.
edit: also he said something about the guage of wire he ran draws to much so check into it.

Also make sure you ground goes back to the engine and not to the subframe. I know a guy who grounded the only battery to the spare tire well. Also you can pull the battery and take it to any parts store and have them load test it too to make sure.
