need some fuel pump help...
when i bought the car it had an electric fan wired to a toggle switch and they had the fuel pump wired to it too. well i decded to remove the toggle switch from the fuel pump because i just want to turn the key and go and i plan on puttin the fan on a temp switch and relay. well now te fuel pump wont turn on. the fan has two wires and one goes to the battery(+) nd the other goes to one side ofthe toggle switch, the wireon theother side of the toggle switch ran back to the red with black tracer wire to the fuel pump and was spliced to it. then the black wire going to the fuel pump had a piece of wire spliced to it grounded to the chassis. well all i did was disconnect the wires spliced to the fuel pump and soldered and heat shrunk the factory wires to the pump. so why isnt my pup coming on. sorry this was so confusing.
There was most likely a short to the pump somewhere and the butcher you bought the car from was too lazy to fix it correctly. Hence the toggle switch w/ a separate power feed. You will now have to trace it down and repair it correctly.
