Default Cutting a Felpro

For those of you that have used Felpro print-o-seal gaskets, what is going on with the excess material on the water passages? Is it supposed to be installed as is or should it be trimmed to fit the water passage?

DO NOT trim it. The water passages are reduced through the gasket to regulate coolant flow

Are you talking about the extra loop for the 351w intake bolt? If you read the instructions, it says to cut it out. The gaskets are designed for 302 and 351, thats why it comes with 2 sets of end gaskets.

Thanks for the answers. I got the Ford Racing set for GT40X heads part # M-9439-A302 which is really a Felpro 1262. It didn;t have the end gaskets or the instructions, just two lower intake gaskets.
