Default Dizzy gear and timing....

Im just wondering about when you put the dizzy in if its a gear off, will it throw timing makrs on the balancer off at all?
Asking because i think im a gear or 2 off. I have the timing at 10 but it doesnt run good with low oxtane and i dont wanna **** **** up cuz i already have pits in my 3rd and 8th cyclinder.

If you have enough "throw" on the dizzy, you can still set the marks but it will run like poooo! Best thing to do, set it up on TDC and see where the rotor's pointing.
