ok so my car decided to be a ***** today for like 10 min....

here is the deal. as some of you may kno i have a 31 code.. but idk if this has to do w/ it.. today i was driving and it ran perfectly fine.. after a bit of driving it started to like spudder/buck while driving in any gear.. so i pulled over and shut the car off. i let it sit for a few min and then i tried to start it and it just turned over but didnt have any intention of starting. so i let it sit for a min or so then tried again and then it backfired and sounded like a gun shot. smoke come out of the driver side tail pipe and smelt like a firecracker.. i was like wtf!?? then i tried again a few min later and it started but when i touched the gas it kinda hesitated a bit.. that slowly went away and it drove fine after that and the CEL is off now.. but occasionally flickers... would anyone know what just happened? thanx

Fuel pump or sender perhaps, sounds like when you hit hte throttle the engine wasn't getting any gas... if oyu ahve fuel pressure gauge hook it up and check to see where its at...

while your checkin all that, check your fuel filter too, if you still have the stock one in there you might wanna look into changing that thing

fuel filter is a few months old.. but it hasnt happened since so idk wtf happened...
