Cobra Axles Help

I need a new passenger axle in my 1993 cobra but i was told that an axle from a regular fox body GT does not work for my car. what its the difference? Is it due to the 3.08 gears? If anyone could enlighen me on this, I would appreciate it..

as far as i know, they are the same thing....

there is a big list of cobra info in the stickies, check it out..

that was my assumption. THe guy at ford's part department siad they were different but could not explain why..but what are the stickies?
