header gasket problems

Also, when I built my engine, I put high temp silicone on everygasket. I never had a leak. Not once. I've heard of guys doing that to the header gaskets. Just put it on the gasket. Just a thought

To answer the wrench question, put the box end on the bolt and the open end up. Take a bigger wrench and put it the box end on the open end of the wrench thats on the bolt. Pretty simple.

i have never seen headers that were that hard to unbolt on a 5.0, you just have to take your time and use a wrench. if you want a challenge put a set of long tube headers on an 03 cobra.

it was only hard because ive had the mustang for about 3 months and decided to jump into installing the shorties and h pipe myself without any previous knowledge of mustangs (besides changing a radiator hose on my 97 thunderbird) and also the unbolting is easy - it was the bolting part i hatedbut thanks a lot guys for the tips!
