i found a brand new Ford racing cobra upper and lower intake for 380$ brand new. would this be good or is an aftermarket set better?

not a bad price for it. but that intake is alittle overated. with some clean up it can be made to flow good. the lower really needs to be ported. there is like 3/16 of material that can be removed just on the port side. i know from experience

i own a 1993 cobra and i would have to say the whole cobra setup is a joke for power, but it sure is a graet car as far as resale value. I would not pay over 200 for an unported one, becuase you can get a typhoon that looks better and flows more for around 200 an 300 for the polished one.

ported gt40p? what the hell is that... the gt40p is a head. if your saying explorer intake its a cross between the OG gt40 and the cobra. all 3 intakes share the same lower. the large difference is the upper. on the explorer has smaller runners and they are alittle taller this helps low end torque. if you traded the explorer and 120 you got beat!!!!!!!

I traded my whole ported GT40 IM from an explorer (upper & lower) for a whole cobra. & I needed the money to pay for a ticket. [>:]

I never said I wanted to.
