im doing a2.3 to 5.0 swap and the engine is inand the tranny just need to knowsome info on the ECU.does the ECU and wiring harness have to be from a mustang 5.0L or could it be from a bronco 5.0L or ranger or some ford in 87, 88 that has a fuel injected 5.0L. its coming to the point where its way to hard to find a ECU and wiring harness from a 87 88 5.0L. some who has done this

why do you need one for an 87? Get a 89-93 so you can have MAF or 87-88 for SD...there are lots of years

If you get one that isn't for a Mustang be ready to try and make it fit....but it should work...maybe
