Gear Instilation on 03' cobra????????

Gear Instilation on 03' cobra????????
My brother in law wants to put some gears in his 03' and somebody told him that he has to split the case and that they are a pain in the ***... and not like the regular 8.8, does anyone know what this job all consists of, how difficult is it, and if u need to take out the rear end????
