need clutch help!
ok here's the problem. About a week ago i noticed it was harder to shift and i would have to push the clutch all the way to the floor for it to shift smoother. I replaced the clutch with a ford racing clutch about 2 years ago, 20k miles and I did the cable about a year ago with a steeda firewall adjustable cable. I know should've been the same time. Now today I take the casing off the underneath to see if i can adj the cable any to see if that would help with the hard shifting, but it was adjusted all the way out and so was the firewall adjuster. so i adjusted it all the way the other way and tried putting the cable on the 2nd notch on the quadtrant under the dash but that wouldnt let the peddle go to the floor so i couldnt start it. So i put it back and put the casing back together then adjusted the firewall back all the way out, then i got it into reverse still not easily but the clutch grabbed super quick i got down the street and got into second then stopped and i was stuck in 2nd. So i stalled the car and then started it up and it slammed into reverse and reversed it back to my house where i then couldnt get it out of reverse and it would move with my foot pushed fully down on the clutch peddle and giving it no gas. So i stalled it and pushed it up the driveway and tried to adjust the cable underneath and at the firewall more times, but now i cant get it into any gear. I'm thinking its gotta be something internal. Maybe throw out bearing (which was replaced when clutch was) or syncros..... sorry for the long post, any help appreciated. Thanks

well, numero uno, you should be pushing the clutch all the way down, every single time you shift, no matter how it is adjusted.
could be the bearing, but my money is on the clutch disc being burnt to hell.

I do push the clutch all the way down, but i had to push it has hard as possible until i couldnt anymore and it would shift a lil smoother but still not as smoothe as it should be. The clutch itself only has like 20k miles on it and it grabs good so i couldnt see it being that...

Ok so you have a firewall adjuster and its all the way out right? and i understand you lossened in up and triued hooking the cable end on the top hook of the quadrant, and that didnt work, so its gotta be something else, i would imagine

Probably not syncros, unlikely they all went out at once. Throwout bearing wouldn't cause it to do that. The clutch is just misadjusted. With the pedal all the way out, u should adjust it at the fork so that u have roughly an 1/8th inch of play. You can adjust it at the pedal to control where it engages.
