I did not want to steal 87 5.0 lx's post, so I thought I would start a new one....

What makes the C&L so bad?? What kind of problems would you have that a better MAF would eliminate??

I am still working on my idle...maybe it is my 76mm C&L???

Good question. I have always used C&L's on my cars and they have all performed great! Curious to hear people's opinions and facts on this subject.

Here's what I have heard about C&L MAFs. If you get a MAF that's sized to your injectors and you just want to plug and play, then they work fine. But if you actually tune the car yourself (or have someone tune it for you) then they aren't very accurate and they can be a pain in the ***.

I did not want to hijack his post....but everyone was ******* on C&L and not really saying why....

I was hoping to hear some good reasons other than "its junk"

I would like to also know why they are "junk". When I bought mine almost 2 years ago all I read was good things about them and I don't think I ever had any trouble directly related to the air meter.

mine works awesome, no complaints here. but i also have stock injectors and i've never tried to tune my car.
