Default quick question?

i wa underneath my 88 GT and noticed that i have a pipe that goes from the stock H-Pipe up toward the motor, i didnt get a chance to go and look under the hood, but is this the EGR tube if so when i change to put on my BBK shorties, BBK hi flow X pipe and cat back system there is no way to hhok this back up to new system correct. and what do i do?

its not the egr it comes from the smod pump it injects fresh air to help the unburn gasses burn you can braze/weld it to the new pipe or remove it esp if you dont ahve a smog pump

it might send a catalytic efficiency code and yes u should fail emissions no matter what. If you have any emission systems removed they are supposed to fail u. I haven't actually done this myself though so it might not trip a code

It will depend on the requirements in Maryland.....if they do a visual and don't see the smog equipment installed...will it pass?....if they don't do a visual, you shouldn't have problems as long as the system (EEC-IV) is failure code free (with the exception of the smog related KOER codes)....and no....its elimination will not cause the CEL to illuminate.

true but it does take away an acess of your serp system.
