so you would be paying 375.00 more for that block than the other one for 75.00 to get roller lifters? im pretty sure linked (retrofit) rollers are cheaper than that - and are probably better.

yea but this motor is a solid running motor while the other one is 6 years older unknown miles and has a engine knock at 55-65mph. this one i could just put the necessary parts on and drop right in.

this is after i searched around for machine work prices. the cheapest place i could find around me in plymouth, mass was 900 for just the machine work to rebuild a motor. so i think this running motor is a better idea to drop in and then rebuild a couple years down the road.

what do you mean more of the donor parts... i thought all stroker kits came with all the same stuff. are you refering to when ya gotta machine the block and stuff for crank clearance
Can use the donor pistons and rods with a 393. Would need to buy a new crank.

wait, you cant just throw a longer stroker crank in a 351w block using the stock rods and pistons - you'd end up sticking way outta the hole.

elaborate please

Aftermarket 3.85" stroke crankshaft. Stock 351W truck rods 5.956". Stock 302 4.030" bore piston 1.600" C/H. Total distance = (3.85 / 2) + 5.956 + 1.6 =9.481".
