Default quick question about headers

Is there a difference in sound between equal length and unequal length bbk shorty headers? I think that the unequal shortys are designed like the stock headers right? so I don't know - help me out, is it that the more twists and turns in the pipes the louder the car will be? thnks

Im pretty sure you probably wouldnt be able to tell a difference in sound. The midpipe and muffler selection would make the biggest differences in sound.

flow characteristics, clearance, and performance.

equals make more power

it all depends on the flow of the engine...

the more HP the car si making, the more it will benefit from a proper flowing exhaust

the numbers for increase in power for tuned equal length headers and tuned length intake manifold increase exponentially instead of linearly. but alot of time and effort has to go into making everything just right and you have to understand how an engine pulses. for fitment and easibility go with unequals

obviously the equal length will be more benificial but it seem as everybody thinks they need them when a unequal will be just fine (as stated above). oh well

Equal lengths work with the idea the the engine is sending out timed exhaust pulses, and being that each pipe is the same lenght on the header, the pulses never run into each other, allowing the exhasut to flow faster. Unequal headers the pulses run into each other and slow each other down.
