Mega fuse for 3g alt.
How important is it, where can I get it.. One more question, what is the difference if I ran my new 4 guage power wire to the starter solenoid instead of the positive side of the battery.

RE: Mega fuse for 3g alt.
Never heard of a mega fuse, but if you want to fuse the alt go to your local car audio store and get a ANL style fuse/holder.150-300 amp fusewill work.As of running the 4ga to the solenoid instead of the batt there will be no difference

RE: Mega fuse for 3g alt.
Alternators only put out as much as they need to.
I run a 120 amp fuse on my 200amp alternator. Car never draws more than about 70-100amps
with everything on.
I got 200 amp alternator cause it puts out 100amps at idle.
vs. 35amps at idle for stock alternator.
U/D pullies suck for charging problems too, dumping mine to go back to
stock size crank pulley too.
